Poll - What day is the hardest for you to stay focused on your weight loss objectives?

I'm just wondering. For me it is Sundays, there is just more time around the house and sometimes family meals etc...I just hate starting out on Monday thinking I need to make up for all the damage I did Sunday.  I'm asking because I think if I identify the problem, maybe I can plan to defend against. it. Maybe I need a little extra focus on that day. Maybe if we see a trend in the responses, then we can plan a weekly chat around the time when the greatest percentage of us can use a little extra support. If there is another time you would suggest would be a good time to set up more of a routinely scheduled chat, let it be knowne here too.

For me, the worst "days" are actually nights in general.  I am a night time muncher, and usually my schedule means I am busy, busy, busy until about 5-6pm (which keeps me from having a lot of free time to spend eating until then) but when I get to my apartment food is readily avaliable and I get bored - so the munchie**** big time.

Friday and Saturday nights, for me.. everyone around me is drinking and munching out on junk food and partying.. and I'm sober eating some beef jerky in the corner.. lol.. no, it's not that bad.. But I have a very social group of friends, and when we go to big parties it is a bit difficult.. anyone have any advice??

Plan some kind of activity for your friends to do that doesn't soley focus on food and drink - instead of going out "drinking" go to a bowling alley (there are several bowling alleys we have nearby that also have bars, so whoever wants to can drink, but the focus is bowling, not drinking).  I know how you feel, and I hope you can come up with something that'll make it easier on you - eventually you'll be able to have a little bit to eat and even drink (think like 6-12 months from now) if it's okay from your surgeon.  Until then, maybe this will help.

Thanks Amy! So far we have been able to try and organize activities that involve exercise. Like group yoga classes or hikes or skiing trips, but sometimes they just want to party, so bowling is a great plan. Thanks Kyra

Michael, good post...i blogged about this a while ago...it really is making me nuts! my work has me on a great schedule to be eating my pre-made meals every few hours...i really can't forget to eat or graze....but on weekends, when I rarely work, I could just drink coffee all day and totally forget to eat. I know this is bad and can keep my calories too low to continue my weight loss...I just lose track of all the time that passes... my husband starts emailing my phone about the time I should eat so i will have reminders...lol again, great post! xxxBecca

I dont consider any day harder than another... but I will say that my nutrition is 100% mon-fri... I eat the same breakfast, pack my lunch and eat healthy dinner... on the weekends I am more relaxed and dont 100% stick to my food schedule... I will sometimes skip breakfast then eat a late lunch and no dinner... or eat breakfast, and combine lunch dinner together.... I work on at least eating something during the day.. even if its more snacky stuff instead of a regular meal.
